Bylaw 3 currently says that the election of State Central Committee members is to be done the same way as other county party elections are done. This proposal aligns the bylaw with actual practice.
Bylaw 3 – State Central Committee Members
| B. |
The members of the State Central Committee from the Utah County Republican Party shall be elected as follows: |
| |
1. |
The County Chair and County Vice Chair shall serve as two of the county’s representatives to the State Central Committee. |
| |
2. |
The remaining number of State Central Committee members allocated to represent Utah County on the State Central Committee, shall be elected by the delegates to the Utah County Republican Party Organizing Convention in the same manner as other county party positions are elected at said convention using a single ballot, on which the delegates cast up to the same number of votes as there are positions available for the State Central Committee. The candidates receiving the highest number of votes fill the available positions. |
